Cemetery Records
The Department of National
Defense has taken over the care and maintenance of all cemeteries on the
Base property. The grass has been kept mowed, and a white fence
surrounds each one, and at this time they may be in better condition
than when the residents moved away from their homes.
The following is a list of
cemeteries found on Base Gagetown property. There are eight cemeteries
listed for which there were no records in the database produced by
military personnel. At this time it is not known if they are separate
cemeteries, or if they are duplicates of the other thirty-six, with
different names.
It is also believed that some
of these cemeteries are not listed under the names used by the local
residents. Should you know of a more correct, or more commonly used
name, please advise us so we can update our records.
